Deeply inspired by the teachings of his late mentor, Shahneezar guides Artusik with a mission to transform how Nusantaran music is taught and experienced.

The initiative embraces an inclusive, forward-thinking approach that bridges traditional practices with the evolving cultural landscape of the 21st century—reimagining the role of ethnic music in contemporary society while honoring its deep-rooted origins.

Nabillah Jalal

Co-Founder

Nabillah Jalal is a musician, educator, and community leader. She founded NJ Studio, co-founded ArtSee to provide music mentoring for underserved youth, and is a partner at Artusik.

The first Malay Singaporean to graduate with Honours from the Royal College of Music, she was also a recipient of the Goh Chok Tong Youth Promise Award (Distinction).

Beyond music, she serves on the Boards of Orkestra Melayu Singapura, the Founders’ Memorial Steering Committee, and Anugerah Belia Cemerlang. A recognised youth leader, Nabillah represented Singapore at the G20 Youth Summit (2023) and has been featured in Prestige’s 40 Under 40 (2025) for her leadership and community impact

Nabillah recently received the Total Defence Award.
